Adnan Karim Rashid
Adnan Karim Rashid was born in 1963 in Kirkuk. Despite coming from a financially challenged family, he achieved a high level of education. His family moved to Iraqi Kurdistan due to the first Iraqi war.

In 1985, he graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Slemani as a painter. Over the years, his musical talent was shaped by the influence of famous Kurdish musicians.

Career

Adnan Karim's first public performance as a musical artist took place in 1979. His style is admired for its authenticity, particularly among Kurdish people, due to the purity of his traditional melodies and the minimal incorporation of modern elements.

His compositions are characterized by a harmonious blend of lyrics, sound, and the choice of oriental instruments deeply rooted in Kurdish music. Audiences feel the deep and melancholic emotions conveyed in his songs, complemented by his soft, profound voice.
